Cobbenhagen Hendriksen is a graphic design studio founded in 2004 by Marijke Cobbenhagen (1978, Amsterdam) and Chantal Hendriksen (1978, Delft).
Based in Amsterdam, we design books, magazines, visual identities, campaigns, and other printed matter. Standing for a thorough comprehension of our commissioners requirements and initial question, our approach is a conceptual and experimental one. The singularity of every project pushes us to find forthright answers with the designs and to achieve uniqueness in form. By taking every detail and decision in the design process in consideration we maintain a high standard. This results in the works for example for, De Hallen Haarlem (museum for contemporary art, Haarlem), Tubelight Magazine (Rotterdam), the Netherlands Media Art Institute (Amsterdam), TNT Post (the Netherlands), Veenman Publishers (Rotterdam), NAi (Netherlands Architecture Institute, Rotterdam), Amsterdam School of the Arts, the Jan van Eyck Academy (Maastricht) and several artist books.
This website tries to give some insight in our profession, our methods and our interests. Showing this with sketches, ideas, projects, finished works and proposals we’ve done for several commissioners so far. We hope it will give an overview of what we’re capable of. If not, don’t hesitate to ask for a verbal presentation or explanation. We’re happy to do so in any kind of setting; a possible cooperation, project or commission, a lecture or workshop.
