In the identity for the Netherlands Media Art Institute we try to visually answer the question what is media-art?. Within the collections of images we look for features, cliches, shapes, themes or technical developments in the history of media-art in relation to a specific exhibition. To put the emphases on the visual research we chose to use 1 typeface: the Digigrotesk (1968, Hell Design Studio and is the first typeface to have been completely designed digitally). Out off our visual research and initial elements the identity is still evolving and growing taking the requirements of the institute and the fast changing possibilities in Media Art in consideration.

Several media (since 2007); invitations, letterheads, business cards, with compliment cards, stickers, banners, folders, tape, t-shirts
